The freelancing industry, for example, FVA Academy is now highly in-demand and many people are considering becoming a virtual assistant or freelancer with different motivations altogether. Getting into freelancing is easy but landing your first job might not be as easy and could be overwhelming if you are a beginner about to make your first debut in this fast-growing industry. About to give up already? I hope not!

Starter Kit for New Virtual Assistant

There are many ways that can make your freelancing journey less overwhelming. All you need is a good push for a beautiful journey to success.

This Virtual Assistant Starter Pack will help steer your way to smooth sailing.

A working laptop or computer

If you don’t have one yet, I highly suggest you get one. A working computer or laptop is important for 100% of the time to complete your clients’ project; therefore, it’s important to make sure that your equipment is working, in tip-top and excellent condition. You don’t need to get anything expensive, a decent, basic specs one would do the job just fine.

Strong and Stable Internet Connection

Internet connection is a must-have for freelancers. What good is a computer if there’s no internet connection to connect to when you have tons of online jobs to do? Most freelancers rely solely on the internet for most of their work, naturally, a strong and stable internet connection is needed to get in touch with the clients, send emails, manage social media, and work on projects. Perhaps, investing in a faster internet connection can save you time and boost productivity.

Comfortable Workstation

Freelancers usually work in the comfort of their home or desired workstation while others prefer to be outside at the cafes or work while having a vacation. Nevertheless, a properly set up workspace will guarantee a more comfortable working environment which will increase productivity and work motivation. A desk equipped with a laptop, computer or other electronic gadgets, proper lighting for good ambiance, a small pot plant to brighten up the décor, and most importantly is a comfortable chair for better posture. Remember! A comfortable workspace gives you the most satisfaction when working.

Remember to hydrate

Landing your first freelancing job is definitely a dream come true, and you feel that you’re on top of the world. Due to the excitement, you instinctively get busy and work non-stop because you want to produce a quality job for your client. Often times, when that happened, freelancers forget to take water breaks from time to time when they are too busy with their jobs. This could not only make you easily tired and fatigue but also decrease your productivity and concentration on the job. So remember to keep yourself hydrated to improve performance.

I hope this starter pack will motivate you to work diligently ready to begin your freelancing journey to success.
